Peachtree Audio.... Do We Need To Say Anything Else....

Peachtreee Audio......a company that started in 2007 recognizing the need for a product that allowed for computer based audio  to become part of the listeners music direction.  Unwilling to compromise audio quality for the admitted convenience of digital files, they conceived a new kind of integrated amplifier. This would be an amplifier with a digital-to-analog converter inside, able to extract maximum fidelity from computer music files and from digital music streamers like Sonos and Apple TV. Thus was the iconic Decco born - debuting to great critical acclaim and laying the foundation of Peachtree Audio's reputation for innovation and great sound at down to earth prices. The Decco was the world's first integrated amplifier to feature a USB input, allowing its onboard digital-to-analog converter to process music files directly from a computer.
Introducing nova 2.0 . . . a completely new generation of Peachtree integrated amplifiers that reimagines the original concept and takes it to an even higher level. Nova 2.0 is the culmination of everything we've learned as a leader in computer audio, plus a few new things we hadn't gotten to - until now!

Classe' Audio Sigma 2200i Stereo Integrated Amplifier
How can you improve on the best DACs and analog stages in the world? Eliminate them!

By connecting the output of the 2200i’s preamp section DSP directly to the input of the amplifier DSP we eliminate DAC and ADC conversion losses and their associated analog circuitry’s noise and distortion. That’s the secret to the powerful performance/price ratio delivered by the exciting new Sigma 2200i Stereo Integrated Amplifier.
By keeping digital signals digital all the way to the amplifier output filter we shorten the signal path, avoid losses and save the expense of Digital-to-Analog converters and Analog-to-Digital converters as well as their associated analog circuits. It all translates to better sound for the price.

The front-end consists of the stereo portion of the Classe' Audio Sigma SSP processor/preamplifier, including inputs for USB types A and B, Ethernet for streaming AirPlay and DLNA, coax, optical, analog inputs for XLR and RCA and an optional phono (as in the CP-800 and Sigma SSP). We’ve also included 4 HDMI 2.0 inputs with HDCP 2.2 on one input. The availability of HDMI switching adds convenience for users with AV sources like set top boxes, Blu-ray players, etc.

The Classé touchscreen control provides familiar features like digital domain Tone Control, 9-band PEQ per channel and flexible bass management. The Subwoofer output is derived from the only DAC onboard. IP control includes iOS and Android apps.

The amplifier section consists of the power supply, DSP and amplifier circuitry making this a seriously powerful, high resolution integrated amplifier. It is capable of effortlessly driving virtually anything on the market including all of the new Bowers & Wilkins 800 Series loudspeakers.

To summarize, the Sigma 2200i is  a stereo integrated amplifier with erformance, connectivity, unique features and loads of power at a compelling price.

NEW! AUDIO RESEARCH REF 6 STEREO TUBE PREAMPLIFIER

Almost since the inception of the brand, Audio Research has produced some of the finest components for music reproduction; this is especially true with regard to preamplifiers. In 1973, the SP3 was hailed as the best preamplifier available, and this tradition of excellence has continued ever since. The Reference Series from Audio Research was first introduced in 1995 and has been the ultimate representation of performance, musicality and power. The Reference 6 is the latest chapter of our story.
The Reference 6 also offers better bass control, relaxed purity and more dimensionality. Further improvements include a more grainless presentation, greater transparency, better speed, and more continuity across the musical spectrum. Quite simply, the Reference 6 improves upon its predecessor in every way for a more palpable and immediate musical performance. Numerous elements – transformers, capacitors, wiring – are designs exclusive to Audio Research and the Reference 6.
A completely new chassis has allowed not only a more beautiful aesthetic, but also provides more structural rigidity to assist in the dissipation of electrical and mechanical interferences. Six premium 6H30 tubes are now used in the audio circuit (increased from four tubes in the Reference 5SE) to provide an even quieter background and increased dynamic range. The tube-regulated power supply is also a new design for improved sonics. New circuit boards, circuit designs, and larger power transformer have been implemented to provide robustness and serviceability.

The Problem: So we are not speaking about dancing but we are talking about music.  All computing devices—laptops, smartphones, Network Attached Storage devices (NAS drives), media servers, etc.—inherently generate a significant amount of noise and parasitic resonances. Additionally, computers contribute a considerable amount of RFI and EMI pollution onto the signal paths—all of which can easily find its way onto your USB cables and into your audio system. This noise and interference has many negative effects. Noise-compromised digital circuitry increases jitter and packet errors, resulting in distortion that causes a comparatively flat and irritating sound. Noise-compromised analog circuitry also damages the sound’s depth, warmth and resolution.

So what does the Audio Quest Jitterbug do?

  • Reduces the noise and ringing that plague both the data and power lines of USB ports
  • Measurably reduces jitter and packet errors
  • Improves dynamic contrast, warmth and resolution

Ergonomics: Removing the Barriers between Listener and Music

introducing the NEW AudioQuest Nighthawk headphone Headhone.NightHawk is an around-the-ear, semi-open headphone—AudioQuest’s full-bore assault on both the state of the headphone art and on the limits to which quality, innovation, and sustainability can be achieved at an affordable cost. NightHawk's earcups are made from a revolutionary new material known as “Liquid Wood”—actual wood that has been combined with reclaimed plant fiber, heated, liquefied, and processed in such a way that it can be injection molded. The use of Liquid Wood shapes the earcups to more closely resemble the human ear, thereby providing a more complete and comfortable fit, reducing stress on the listener’s head and ears. And, unlike typical plastic, Liquid Wood is environmentally friendly—more than merely beautiful to behold, it is also sustainable.  NightHawk's design elements are successfully implemented in today’s most innovative loudspeakers, but have rarely been used in headphones. Auditioning hte Nighthawk will make you change the way or listening to headphones. Please come and listen for yourself!
